Sarah suggests how understanding the mechanisms behind Retrieval Practice can clarify how this process can best support learning. Sarah discusses the importance of carefully selecting content and incorporating contextual cues when utilising Retrieval Practice. Sarah also suggests teaching techniques, such as, 'exit tickets' which are brief assessments at the end of a lesson that can allow students to recall and consolidate what they've learned.
