John Hattie

Emeritus Laureate Professor at MGSE, University of Melbourne

Professor Hattie is Emeritus Laureate Professor at MGSE, University of Melbourne. Professor Hattie has served as Head of Department or Associate Dean in 4 universities for 20+ years. Professor Hattie is chair of the Board of the AITSL (a Federal Government agency) and was co-director of the ARC- Science of Learning Center, chief moderator for the New Zealand Performance-Based Research Fund scheme and Past-President of the International Test Commission. Professor Hattie is known for his series of books on Visible Learning.

Rachel Johnson has been the CEO of PIXL since January 2020, leading their network of 2200 schools from every area of education. As well as leading and overseeing the vision and direction of PiXL, she is also a coach, an author and a podcaster. Rachel has released several podcasts: ‘PiXL Pearls’, ‘The PiXL Leadership Bookclub‘ and ‘How do you teach?‘, and is the author of three books including Box Clever.
