ALEX QUIGLEY
Why Learning Fails: The Knowledge Gap.
About this Keynote
Why does learning sometimes fail to stick? Alex explores this question through the lens of his book Why Learning Fails. He highlights the crucial role of prior knowledge in shaping new learning and how gaps can limit progress. The session also addresses the ‘knowing-doing’ gap and why understanding does not always translate into action. Practical strategies are shared throughout, concluding with approaches to make learning more durable and transferable.
