Make InnerDrive and the Teacher CPD Academy part of your inclusion strategy

From July 2026, eligible schools and 16–19 providers now receive a share of the £500 million Inclusive Mainstream Fund for 2026/27. The Teacher CPD Academy can support you in putting it to work — because inclusion isn’t about fitting every child into the same system, it’s about building a system that works for every child.

£500m+

The inclusive mainstream fund is worth over £500m. This is split, with £400m/pa allocated to schools and an additional £83m/pa for 16-19 providers.

The government highlights seven principles of inclusion that mainstream settings are expect to embed. 

July '26

Schools will receive one payment that can be spent on inclusion provision throughout the 2026/27 financial year.

Dec '26

Schools must publish their inclusion strategy statement by 31 December 2026.

3 years

The fund runs across the next three years, with funding allocated each year.
