THANKS FOR YOUR ENQUIRY

Your details are currently making their way over to us and one of our team will be in touch shortly to discuss your enquiry.

Find out how we can support your inclusion strategy.

Since July 2026, eligible schools and 16–19 providers can receive a share of the £500 million Inclusive Mainstream Fund for 2026/27. The Teacher CPD Academy and InnerDrive workshops can support you in putting it to work — because inclusion isn’t about fitting every child into the same system, it’s about building a system that helps every child to participate and succeed.

THE CHALLENGE

More needs in every classroom, less time to prepare for them.

Teachers need to support a wider range of needs than ever, and inclusion can feel like a daunting specialism they were never trained for. Chasing a separate strategy for every need isn’t sustainable.

OUR APPROACH

Strengthen quality-first teaching that benefits everyone.

Good teaching for pupils with additional needs contains the same elements as good teaching for all. We help your staff to use, and adapt, those fundamentals with confidence.

HOW THIS MAPS TO THE INCLUSIVE MAINSTREAM FUND

Principle 3High-quality teaching

The DfE’s Inclusive mainstream fund: best practice for schools guidance lists 7 principles of instruction that schools should embed inclusive practice in line with. InnerDrive & the Teacher CPD Academy can help schools to embed arguably the most important: high-quality teaching.

We help schools & colleges to utilise evidence-informed strategies which support every student, and can be adapted to meet a range of diverse needs and increase participation – an approach informed by the Education Endowment Foundation’s guidance on inclusive teaching.

THE EVIDENCE BEHIND IT

Grounded in the new inspection framework

We analysed 400+ inspection reports made under the new framework to highlight the common issues schools encounter, then turned it into practical CPD.

Read our Inclusion framework analysis paper on classroom adaptation, monitoring of provision, SEND identification & family confidence, and curriculum access:

£500m+

The inclusive mainstream fund is worth over £500m. This is split, with £400m/pa allocated to schools and an additional £83m/pa for 16-19 providers.

7

The government highlights seven principles of inclusion that mainstream settings are expect to embed.

July '26

Schools will receive one payment that can be spent on inclusion provision throughout the 2026/27 financial year.

Dec '26

Schools must publish their inclusion strategy statement by 31 December 2026.

3 years

The fund runs across the next three years, with funding allocated each year.

What else is available on the Academy?

Inclusion isn't a specialist add-on; it’s the everyday work of every teacher, in every lesson. You don't need all staff to be SEND experts; when they feel confident in providing high-quality adaptive teaching, more children stay engaged and achieve. The Teacher CPD Academy gives your whole staff that confidence, with access to every course, keynote and tool, and new areas added all the time at no extra cost. Here's a peek at what it includes:
